Index tokens bundle multiple assets into one, giving you exposure to a whole bunch of crypto goodness in a single swipe .
They’re similar to the S&P 500 – which is an index of the top 500 publicly traded companies in the US.
It’s like buying a fruit tray instead of 5 different fruits separately 🍉
Depending on your risk tolerance, time horizon, and expected returns, there are a number of indexes to choose from.
Here's the scoop on 3 index tokens that cover a creamy mix of crypto projects:
1/ DeFi Pulse Index ($DPI)
$DPI is a market cap-weighted index (more on this below) that tracks the performance of the top 10 DeFi (Decentralized Finance) coins.
Market cap-weighted simply means that heavyweights, like Uniswap and Maker, are a bigger slice of the index pie because they have larger market caps than the other tokens in the DeFi Pulse basket.
Every 3 months, the index gets a makeover (aka rebalanced).
The weights are adjusted , and some tokens might get booted or added, depending on who’s in the top 10 at that time.
If you want exposure to the action in DeFi, $DPI is a solid starting point!
2/ Metaverse Index ($MVI)
$MVI tracks sectors like themetaverse, NFTs, and gaming.
With $MVI, you get a basket of the 8 key entertainment related tokens:
$MVI is unique because it doesn’t just invest in different projects – it spans different sectors.
It’s like buying a fruit tray that also has some crunchy veggies. 🥕(but not cauliflower, no one likes raw cauliflower)

$AMKT isn’t sector specific – it tracks the entire crypto market.

- $AMKT: Tracks how the crypto market is doing.

SANCTUM'S AIRDROP: A WAITING GAME WITH DOUBLE REWARDS! 🪂
If you’ve been following our airdrop guide, you know we’ve been excited about Sanctum.
This protocol lets you stake your $SOL and get liquid staking tokens (LSTs) in return, which you can then restake or use in DeFi.
Well, hold onto your milk, because Sanctum is now shaking things up in the airdrop scene. Instead of following the same old “get it and dump it” routine, they’re going for a twist.
Here’s the deal:
Sanctum Airdrop is happening today, July 18.
If you're on the list, you have two choices:
- Claim now: grab your tokens and do whatever your crypto heart desires.
- Claim later: Hold off on claiming and receive up to double your airdrop allocation.
NOTE: In order to receive double your allocation you must wait 180 days to claim. But you can claim at any point and receive a pro-rated amount for your bonus (ie: 90 days = 50% bonus)

The Big Question: Is it smart to wait for the bonus?
Well, let’s see how some recent airdrops (without the wait bonus) have panned out:
- Wormhole Airdrop: The $W token started at $1.33 in April and plummeted 76% since.
- ZKsync’s ZK Token: Down 40% since its June airdrop.
- LayerZero: Took some measures to exclude Sybil attackers, but still saw an initial 40% drop and has since returned to its value at launch (only down 2%).
These airdrops happened in harsher market conditions, so take these numbers with a grain of salt.With Sanctum’s new style: If everyone waits to claim, the tokens will likely become more valuable and the price could head upwards.
It's a delicate dance between supply and demand, and Sanctum is trying to find the zen.
Why does this matter for crypto overall? There just might be a new meta in the making!
They're putting the choice in the hands of the people, claim your tokens right away and risk getting a smaller piece of the pie, or wait and get up to double the amount.
It's like a crypto version of "The Tortoise and the Hare".
