2025 MILK ROAD PREDICTION RESULTS 🔮

This time last year, we ran a 2025 predictions article, where our team members predicted what they thought would happen in crypto throughout 2025.

Which means by unspoken agreement, we get to tease those that were wrong and celebrate those that were right.

(God, I hope I did okay in this.)

We'll mark each prediction with one of the following:

❌ = wrong
✅ = correct
🟠 = partially correct
❓ = yet to play out or ‘not sure how to quantify this’

Alright, let's get into it…

Tyler “Old Man River” (General Manager):

1. BTC to $150k, ETH to $12k, SOL to $750 ❌

2. We will see 3+ crypto ads in the Super Bowl ❌

3. Trump does laser eyes on his Twitter profile ❌

4. Solana ETFs get launched (but no other alt ETFs) 🟠

5. Next big narrative in crypto: Memecoins on Bitcoin ❌

Kyle “Mr. Bossman” (Co-Owner and Head of Research for Milk Road PRO):

1. Crypto Market Cap hits $10T and Bitcoin Dominance falls to 40% (unless a Strategic Bitcoin Reserve happens, then BTC Dominance goes above highs of this cycle, 60%+) 🟠

2. A strategic BTC reserve in the USA does not happen in 2025. (I think they might announce they won’t sell the confiscated BTC, but I don't think they will actually create a strategic reserve and put it on the FED balance sheet) ✅

3. At least three crypto companies go public (Circle, Kraken and maybe Ledger?) ✅

Note: I’m gonna be nice and give Kyle this win. Kraken and Ledger remain private – but I’m going to go ahead and read these as ‘examples of contenders’, not hard predictions.

4. ETH ETFs introduce staking and provide a yield to ETF holders, pushing a new narrative behind ETH ✅

5. Institutions report for the first time ever that they use DeFi stablecoin providers to generate yield on their dollars (probably Maker or Ethena) ❌

6. Base surpasses all L1 chains to become the #1 chain in daily active addresses, daily transactions and DEX trading volumes ❌

7. DOGE becomes the first and only memecoin to reach a $100B market cap this cycle ❌

Martin “Chief NOP (Nerd On Payroll)” (Lead Researcher for Milk Road PRO):

1. Total crypto market cap will hit $10T+ ❌

2. Bitcoin will become a U.S. strategic reserve asset ✅

3. Bitcoin will be traded at 20% of gold’s market cap ❌

4. At least two BRICS nations will add BTC to their balance sheets ❌

5. Ethereum will become a trillion dollar asset ❌

6. A U.S.-based Solana ETF will be approved ✅

7. Coinbase will be added to the S&P 500 and will be among the top 5 performing stocks of 2025 🟠

2025 MILK ROAD PREDICTION RESULTS (P2) 🔮

Alright, where were we? Ah yes, 2025 prediction results.

Jay, what have you got?

Jay “The Freestyle Yapper” (Co-Owner & Host of The Milk Road Show):

1. BTC to $240k, ETH to $12k, SOL to $1k ❌

2. U.S. regulatory clarity will drive total crypto market cap to $10T and stablecoin market cap to $500B ❌

3. The Bitcoin sovereign cycle begins as at least 3 more countries (in addition to El Salvador & Bhutan) officially announce they are buying BTC as part of their national reserve but the U.S. will not be one of them (yet) 🟠

4. AI Agents will be the biggest crypto narrative of 2025 ❌

5. A mainstream crypto application will reach 10 million monthly active users ❌

6. Most people will fail to take profits ❓

Chevy “Chivi” (Lead Writer):

1. BTC to $180k, ETH to $11k, SOL to $800 ❌

2. The year of the Alt ETFs: U.S.-based Solana ETFs will get approved (many others will be applied for, most will be delayed until 2026) ✅

Note: I got off on a technicality here. At the time of this writing, there are more alt ETFs outside of Solana that are waiting for approval than there are ones approved.

3. Agential AI replaces the memecoin narrative ❌

4. Market tops in either March/April, or November/December ❓

5. A third U.S.-based non-crypto company adopts Michael Saylor’s Bitcoin Strategy (after MSTR and TSLA) ✅

Note: I’m surprised here. Turns out multiple U.S. companies that exist outside of crypto adopted a Bitcoin Strategy this year, they just didn’t make as big a splash as MSTR/TSLA did last cycle.

Raul “The Intern” (Head of Social)

1. No other crypto ETFs (Solana, Ripple, Doge) get approved in 2025 ❌

2. We see a Banana Zone Jan-April, then a big cool-off between April-October, and a Banana Zone again to close out the year ❌

3. New users will get onboarded directly onchain — no centralized exchanges involved, meaning Phantom and Coinbase Wallet become as popular as Binance and Coinbase on the App Store ❌

4. We’re still not going to see any crypto gaming meta or games with millions of users in 2025 ✅

5. AI will be the main narrative of 2025 and where most of the money will be made ❌

6. I said this last year too but ETH/BTC is going to 0.1 – it’s at 0.04 now – so $ETH will outperform $BTC by more than 2x ❌
