THE STATE OF CRYPTO IN 4 NUMBERS
1,195 - Web3 trademarks were filed last month.
That’s an average of 40 trademarks filed… Every. Single. Day. (You can track them all here)
It’s split into 3 groups:
- NFT trademarks: 435
- Metaverse trademarks: 393
- Crypto trademarks: 367 (these are for things like cryptocurrency products & services)
This year there have been a total of 13,500 Web3 trademarks filed.
In 2021, there were a total of 7,579.
In 2020, there were a total of 1,311.
Web3 trademarks are multiplying faster than Nick Cannon's kids. Congrats on #10, Nick!
$348m - Total NFT volume OpenSea had in September.
That’s the lowest in 14 months. NFTs are looking a lot like Tom & Giselle's marriage - down bad.
The crazy part? OpenSea still had more revenue ($9.5m) than Magic Eden ($2.4m), MetaMask ($2.8m), and LooksRare ($3.1m) combined.
