OKX to Close Accounts That Interact with Tornado Cash

Amidst the recent rise in the usage of Tornado Cash by hackers, OKX CEO Star has made an announcement for its users.

In one of his recent tweets, Star mentioned that those who interact with sanctioned platforms Garantex and Tornado Cash will face the risk of account closure.

The announcement from the OKX CEO comes after the recent rise in the movement of hacked funds to Tornado Cash.

OKX CEO says no one is exempt from this decision

In a response to Star, an X user reminded Star that Vitalik Buterin had publicly mentioned that he had interacted with Tornado Cash. The user asked whether an interaction between this wallet and any OKX account led to risk control.

For this, Star responded that anyone who deposits from Tornado Cash to OKX or withdraws from OKX to Tornado Cash will face account liquidation. He also added that no one is exempt.

This announcement comes after hackers of Nomad Bridge, Unizen, and crypto exchange Rain began moving funds to Tornado Cash to obscure the source of the funds.
