What Is BTCC?
BTCC is a monster of an exchange for futures trading, offering markets for 300+ assets plus spot trading.
One of the craziest features of the platform is its extreme leverage of up to 500x– several times more than other top exchanges offer. You can even trade tokenized gold, silver, and stocks, just as easily as crypto.
The best part is that BTCC isn’t some new exchange. It’s actually one of the world’s longest-running exchanges, operating since 2011 without a single hack.
It’s licensed in the US (FinCEN), Canada (FINTRAC), and Europe (Lithuania) and publishes monthly Proof‑of‑Reserves reports backed by cryptographic verification. It currently holds more assets than its customers have deposited, meaning that your funds are more than likely safe and accounted for.
For those who value their privacy but want a centralized exchange experience – BTCC has a simple verification policy.
No KYC is required unless you plan to make large fiat deposits or withdraw more than USD 10,000 worth of crypto per day.
BTCC Key Features
- Futures Trading with High Leverage: BTCC has over 300 crypto pairs and lets you crank the leverage all the way up to 500x.
- Copy Trading: Copy the trades of pros on the platform, and let their strategies run for you. Comes with 50 $USDT of loss protection on your first copy trade, so you’ve got a small safety net while you test it out.
- Tokenized Assets Trading: Trade tokenized gold, silver, forex, and even stocks. One of the few crypto platforms that offers futures markets for these assets.
- Demo Trading Account: If you’d rather practice first, BTCC gives you a demo account with 100,000 $USDT in pretend money.
- Mobile and Web Accessibility: Whether you’re trading from your laptop or on the go, the platform’s fast, clean, and easy to use. You get real-time alerts, powerful charts, and a consistent UI experience.
- High Liquidity and Fast Execution: BTCC can handle big trades or high frequency trading without slowing down or messing up your price.
BTCC Fees
BTCC keeps its fees straightforward and competitive.
Spot trading fees are 0.2% for maker orders (orders that add orders to the order book) and 0.3% for taker orders (orders that take orders from the order book).
Futures trading fees are even lower, at 0.025% for maker orders and 0.045% for taker orders.
Maker Fee | Taker Fee | |
---|---|---|
Spot Trading | 0.2% | 0.3% |
Futures Trading | 0.025% | 0.045% |
Crypto deposits are free, but fiat deposits go through providers like Moonpay, whose fees can vary and are sometimes on the higher side – sometimes up to 10%.
As with most exchanges, withdrawal fees depend on the asset and its network fee.
BTCC also has VIP tiers that give you fee discounts based on your trading volume (similar to other exchanges). For the most accurate and up-to-date information, it’s best to check their official fees page.

Our Expert Review of BTCC
In this expert review of BTCC, I’m going to give you a first-hand look at signing up to the exchange, as well as a quick look at its main features.
Let’s get right into it!
Signing up to BTCC
Getting started on BTCC is quick and simple – all you need is an email address and a password.

(Sorry to burst your bubble… but no, you don’t immediately get the entire 10,055 $USDT in the screenshot just for signing up – that comes with a lot of tasks and trading volume).
No KYC (identity verification) is required, unless you want higher deposit and withdrawal limits.Even without KYC, you can withdraw up to $10,000 USD per day, which is plenty for most users.
If you’re a heavy hitter or land a big win, you might want to verify your identity to get your money out in bigger chunks.

Funding your Account
Depositing funds is just as straightforward:
- Fiat:Without KYC, you can deposit via bank card through third-party payment providers like Simplex, MoonPay, or ITEZ.
- Crypto:There are no limits on crypto deposits, regardless of your KYC level – simply make a regular transfer to your wallet’s address for that token.
My own $ETH deposit was nice and easy, and showed up within minutes.
Remember that exchanges require extra onchain confirmations than the blockchain itself, so sometimes a crypto deposit can take a little longer than you expect.
Markets and Assets
BTCC offers a huge range of over 300 cryptocurrencies to choose from for trading – not just for spot trading, but futures too.
Futures trading even branches out into tokenized gold, silver, forex, and even stocks.
This includes futures for a whole bunch of popular tech stocks (such as $NVDA, $TSLA, and $MSFT), and even index funds too.

Side note:Once you’ve signed up and funded your account, BTCC offers helpful on-screen tutorials.
I found these super helpful, and they tend to pop up the first time you use each new feature. These are ideal when you’re still getting comfortable with the platform.

BTCC Trading Experience
500x Leverage???
You could imagine my reaction to learning that BTCC offered up to 500x leverage on its most popular trading pairs.
Binance already maxes out at 125x, and that’s already pretty risky. But 500x is a whole new level – absolutely wild!
Of course, you don’t need to use the maximum leverage when you trade, and most trading pairs don’t offer the full 500x anyway.
While the option is there, even seasoned traders should think carefully before using leverage at this scale.
And if you’re a beginner trader, you’d be best to stay away from leverage at all. If that’s you, and you’d prefer to spot trade only – check out Milk Road Swap.
Trading User Interface
The BTCC trading experience is pretty smooth and straightforward if you’re a seasoned trader.
It’s the same layout you’ll find on most “pro” trading platforms, using TradingView candlestick charts and a familiar layout.
You can add indicators like moving averages, RSI, and other advanced options directly onto your charts, making it easy to track the market in real time.
There are also quick-trade buttons built right into the charts, letting you open long or short positions with a single click – I thought this was great.

On top of that, BTCC offers one-click stop-loss and take-profit tools, so you can manage your risk and lock in profits without constantly watching the screen.
As always, I also appreciate the dark mode interface option – a must have, in my opinion.
Futures trading is funded in $USDT only, which keeps things simple.
There’s also a demo account option loaded with virtual funds, so you can practice without putting real money on the line.
Trading Stocks, Forex, and Metals
This, in my opinion, is BTCC’s coolest extra feature, which not many platforms offer at all.
Where else can you trade futures on gold, silver, euros, or even Tesla shares?

I was pleasantly surprised when I checked out the full list of the tokenized stocks and commodities they had on offer – just under 50 of them!
This wasn’t limited to just gold and silver.
It also included other assets like US Oil, a UK and a Japanese index fund, a Uranium ETF, and a bunch of stocks from Uber ($UBER) to Lulu Lemon ($LULU).
BTCC’s non-crypto asset futures are tradable with up to 200x leverage for forex, up to 150x on commodities, and 20x on stocks.
You can check their full list of available assets on the BTCC markets page – click across to “Forex” and “Tokenized Stocks & Commodities” for the cool extras!
Copy Trading Feature
If you’d rather not trade entirely on your own, there’s also a neat copy-trading feature.
This lets you automatically mirror the strategies of experienced traders and their exact trades. This is risky, since you’re putting your money in someone else’s hands – but could be handy if you’re still learning or just want to save time.
Simply pick someone with a good win rate and track record, select how much money you want to risk on copying each of their trades, and fine tune any advanced settings.

BTCC Mobile App
If you’re someone who wants to be able to trade on the go, BTCC also has you sorted with its mobile app, available on iOS and Android.
I found the app super responsive, and it matches the desktop version perfectly.Thismeans you get a smooth experience no matter which platform you’re on.

BTCC Customer Service
Like most crypto exchanges, BTCC has a customer support centre packed with helpful resources.
Here, you’ll find clear guides, step-by-step explainers, and a huge list of frequently asked questions.
It’s pretty impressive – there’s a good chance you’ll find answers to most of your basic questions without ever needing to contact support.

If you do need more personalised help, BTCC also offers a chat feature.
It starts off with a chatbot, but if it can’t solve your problem, it’ll quickly hand you over to a real person.
When I tested it, I was connected to a human agent in under a minute – and they answered my question in less than a minute too.
This was the fastest one-on-one customer service experience I’ve had from any platform ever, which honestly blew me away.
Very impressed!

BTCC Alternatives
BTCC vs. Binance
BTCC is great if you’re into high-leverage trading, offering up to 500x and access to crypto, gold, silver, forex, and tokenized stocks.
Its futures fees are slightly lower than Binance, and you don’t need KYC for smaller trades.
Binance, on the other hand, shines for simple spot trading with its flat 0.1% fee and the ability to stake your assets for passive income.
BTCC | Binance | |
---|---|---|
Spot Fees | 0.2% maker, 0.3% taker | 0.1% flat rate |
Futures Fees | 0.025% maker, 0.045% taker | 0.020% maker, 0.050% taker |
Futures Markets Available | Crypto, gold, silver, forex, stocks | Crypto |
Max Leverage | Up to 500x | Up to 125x |
Asset Staking | No | Yes |
KYC Required? | No | Yes |
BTCC vs. Bybit
If you’re after sky‑high leverage, low futures fees, and the freedom to trade everything from crypto to gold and stocks without KYC, BTCCis your pick.
But if lower spot fees, staking for passive income, and 100x leverage is enough for you, Bybit’s the way to go – just be ready to verify your identity.
It really depends on what you value most.
BTCC | Bybit | |
---|---|---|
Spot Fees | 0.2% maker, 0.3% taker | 0.1% flat rate |
Futures Fees | 0.025% maker, 0.045% taker | 0.020% maker, 0.055% taker |

Max Leverage | Up to 500x | Up to 100x, or 200x with “smart leverage” |

BTCC vs. Kraken
You already know BTCC is big on leverage and variety, but compared to Kraken, those differences really stand out.
Kraken focuses on crypto only, offers up to 50x leverage, and has slightly higher spot fees – but it does give you staking, which BTCC doesn’t.
Futures fees are close, but BTCC still edges out a bit cheaper.
BTCC | Kraken | |
---|---|---|
Spot Fees | 0.2% maker, 0.3% taker | 0.25% maker, 0.40% taker |
Futures Fees | 0.025% maker, 0.045% taker | 0.020% maker, 0.050% taker |

Asset Staking | No | Yes |

Is BTCC Safe to Use?
No crypto exchange can promise 100% safety – there are always risks like hacks or changing regulations.
But when it comes to BTCC, its long history, proper licenses, and strong security measures are all good signs that it takes safety seriously.
When Was BTCC Founded?
BTCC was founded in June 2011 by Bobby Lee, making it one of the oldest crypto exchanges still running today.
It started out in China before later moving its headquarters to Lithuania, where it now operates under European regulation.
Over the years, BTCC has steadily expanded its reach, growing from a small exchange into a global platform while keeping a spotless security record along the way.
Where Is BTCC Licensed?
BTCC is licensed in the US (FinCEN), Canada (FINTRAC), and Europe (Lithuania).
These licenses mean the exchange follows strict anti-money laundering and KYC rules, which keep BTCC a clean and compliant platform.
In Lithuania, BTCC is also regulated by the Financial Crime Investigation Service, for an extra layer of oversight.
Does BTCC Have Proof-Of-Reserves?
They sure do, and it’s one of the strongest parts of their safety profile.
At the time this was written, BTCC actually holds even more crypto than its users have deposited.
They use a system called a Merkle Tree that lets you independently verify your own funds without exposing private information.
In other words, they don’t just say “trust us” – they give you the tools to check for yourself.
Final Thoughts On BTCC
BTCC is one of the most impressive futures trading platforms out there, especially if you’re an experienced trader looking for serious leverage.
With 500x futures trading, copy trading with built-in loss protection, and even tokenized stocks and commodities, it offers more than most platforms out there.
Add in its spotless 14-year security record, clear licensing, and proof-of-reserves, and it’s hard to argue with its reliability.
That said, if you’re mainly looking for simple spot trading or passive income features like staking, you’ll probably find more value on an exchange like Binance or Kraken.
But if you want fast execution, deep liquidity, and a platform that actually rewards skilled traders, BTCC is absolutely worth a look.
If you decide to try it out, you can get a 10% deposit bonus through this link:
Just remember: leverage is powerful, but it cuts both ways – trade smart, start small, and use the tools BTCC gives you to manage risk.
