Robinhood has been crushing it this year. 🚀
And not just in terms of adoption and growth, but also in its stock performance.

$HOOD has been on fire — up 200% year-to-date and ranking among the top 10 best-performing stocks of the year.
We’ve been riding that wave ourselves. Our entry was $35, and the position is now up 220%.
If you were a PRO member back in April, you got the signal to get in early. If not… well, now’s the time to join PRO All Access so you don’t miss the next one.
Naturally, the big question on everyone’s mind right now is:
Is $HOOD still a buy or is it time to sell??
We’ve been asking ourselves the same thing. And with fresh quarterly earnings now out, we dug into the data to find answers.
But it’s not just about the numbers…
In this report, we’ll cover:
- Why Robinhood stands out compared to traditional crypto platforms
- What made us download the app and open an account
- The new feature we’re most excited about
- Why we think the next two years may not be as bullish as the market expects
- Our price target for $HOOD
Hell yeah, we’ve got a lot to unpack today!
And as always, we stay grounded and back our views with real data. So if you’re looking for a balanced take on Robinhood for the coming years, you’re in the right place.
If you haven’t heard of Robinhood yet, here’s a quick intro.
ROBINHOOD INTRODUCTION
They kicked things off in 2013 with a simple but powerful idea — let people trade without paying those annoying (and often high) fees most brokers were charging.
That move shook up the industry and made investing way more accessible.
But what really sets them apart? Their app.
It’s fast, clean, and built for your phone from day one. No clutter, no confusion — just a smooth, user-friendly experience that puts most traditional banks and brokers to shame.
👉 Today, over 26.5 million people have funded accounts on Robinhood, with more than $289 billion in assets sitting on the platform.
Once you’ve built a massive user base and a slick app – why stop at just trading stocks?
Over the years, Robinhood has rolled out crypto trading, options, and more.
But that was just the beginning. Robinhood is thinking bigger.
They’re turning their app into a full-on financial hub, with one clear goal: to become the all-in-one solution for anything/everything money-related.
Curious? Good.
Now, to get a better handle on what their products do, let’s compare them to a few well-known crypto protocols.
ROBINHOOD VS. CRYPTO PROTOCOLS
Robinhood isn’t that different from some of today’s top DeFi apps, and the diagram below will make that even more clear.
But here’s where Robinhood really pulls ahead: the user experience.
While most crypto protocols feel clunky and overly complex, Robinhood wraps everything in a clean, intuitive interface that actually feels good to use.
And let’s be real — a smooth, seamless UX can be a game-changer.
The diagram below maps out how Robinhood’s products line up with popular crypto protocols, and it also spotlights the key advantages that set Robinhood apart.

They started as a commission-free trading app, letting people buy and sell stocks without paying fees.
Instead of charging users, they made money by passing those trade orders to market makers and getting paid for it.
Cow Protocol — a DEX aggregator — works in almost the same way. The more orders and trading volume they handle, the more revenue they generate. Simple as that.
But now, they offer way more than just stocks – to the extent that they have their own equivalents for a range of crypto products/apps.
Take Hyperliquid – currently one of the best trading apps in crypto. Robinhood offers margin accounts, which let users trade with leverage — a very similar concept.
Robinhood can also lend out your stocks or put your idle stablecoins to work to earn extra yield. That’s essentially the same thing Aave does.
Plus, the Robinhood app lets you stake your $ETH to earn staking rewards — essentially the same service Lido offers.
(The list goes on.)
So you can see they’re essentially in the same business, but Robinhood just bundles more services together.
The main difference? On Robinhood, these products have different names, but under the hood (unintentional, but welcomed pun), the mechanics are almost identical to what we see in crypto.
Now, let’s dive deeper into why Robinhood is in a stronger position than most of these crypto protocols.
ROBINHOOD SUPERPOWERS
Robinhood holds some clear advantages over its decentralized counterparts.
This is likely why the platform has been getting so much adoption lately, and will probably continue to do so.
1/ An all-in-one super app
Imagine a single app that covers nearly all your financial needs, instead of constantly hopping between apps, bridging funds, switching blockchains, or dealing with stuck transactions.
👉 You get one smooth, easy-to-use app with a familiar web2 feel that covers everything you need in one place.
That kind of simplicity and great user experience is a huge value proposition – and one that’s tough for crypto protocols to match.
2/ Access to more markets
With Robinhood, you can trade stocks, bonds, futures, forex, crypto — basically anything you want.
Sure, they might not feature the latest trendy memecoins, but that’s not what most people around the world are looking to trade anyway.
And if you believe that’s where the future is headed, that’s exactly why they’re creating the Robinhood Chain – so people can instantly access anything onchain, without worrying about listings or liquidity.
In contrast, if you’re using Cowswap or Hyperliquid, you’re limited to certain tokens and not much else (if you want to swap US dollars for Canadian dollars, invest in a real estate ETF, or pick up some Coinbase stock, you’re out of luck — you won’t be able to do it).
👉 So Robinhood is clearly coming out on top here, offering a wider range of assets that people actually want to trade and invest in.
3/ Exclusive perks
Robinhood Gold is a $5/month subscription that unlocks a premium bundle of tools and benefits for traders and investors.
- Want 4% cashback on every purchase? Done.
- Want Robinhood to match 3% of your IRA contributions? Absolutely.
- Want a higher yield on your uninvested cash? You’ve got it.
- Want margin discounts or better mortgage rates? No problem.
- Want access to top-tier market research? It’s yours.
- Want smart, AI-powered portfolio strategies? Here you go.
This isn’t just a list of nice-to-have perks — it’s shaping up to be the playbook for what a next-gen financial app should deliver in 2025.
The concept is simple: give people more value, and they’ll show up.
The market has run on this principle for centuries, and Robinhood is leaning right into it.
So we know Robinhood has some major advantages right now…but nothing stays on top forever.
So the big question is: what’s next?
ROBINHOOD GOES FULL-STACK
We got a pretty clear hint at their second annual Gold keynote, “The Lost City of Gold”, on March 27, 2025.
That’s where Robinhood unveiled three big launches that show they’re not just a trading app anymore — they’re going full-stack.
- Cortex – An AI tool designed to bring professional-grade research and analysis tools right into users’ pockets.
- Strategies – ready-made, rules-based portfolios that invest and rebalance automatically, making hands-off investing simple for everyone.
- Banking – checking, savings, high-yield interest, and even cash delivered straight to your door.
Put together, these aren’t just new features, they’re Robinhood’s bid to become your all-in-one money hub.
AI insights, guided investing, and everyday banking now live under one roof, so your paycheck, savings, and investments all flow seamlessly inside the same ecosystem.
The vision is simple: no more bouncing between apps — get all your monetary needs met, in one place.
And while everyday users might not care how it works behind the scenes – investors definitely might. Especially if there are cheaper, more efficient ways to handle all that activity.
Got an idea of where this is going? Yep, Robinhood Chain.
It’s designed to make their operations leaner and more cost-efficient, while massively expanding their total addressable market.
Blockchains run 24/7 and are open to anyone with an internet connection, which means Robinhood can reach far beyond its current customer base.
That’s a huge unlock. 💪
But let’s set the blockchain backend aside for a moment, because, honestly, that’s not something most users care about, or ever will.
Instead, let’s focus on the real-life needs that many people already have — or soon will.
If those needs can be powered by something more efficient than today’s systems, that’s just an extra win for investors.
Most people’s financial needs can be boiled down to a few essentials:
- A secure place (bank account) to get paid and pay bills
- Cash that grows automatically, ideally faster than inflation
- Simple access to a variety of investments and strategies
- Clear guidance on how much to invest, where, and why
- Quick, relevant updates on your portfolio
- Direct access to experts when you need advice
- Easy borrowing (personal loans, mortgages) at competitive rates without leaving the app
Robinhood’s new direction puts every one of these needs under one roof, creating a single hub for your money – from paycheck to portfolio.
👉 Their long-term vision is to create a fully closed-loop financial ecosystem, where you never need to leave the app for anything money-related.
And now, for the product we’re most excited about: Cortex.
Robinhood is developing its own language model that will keep getting smarter over time, aiming to give every user a personalized financial advisor — one that’s focused on delivering results, not earning commissions or billing by the hour.
Imagine having unlimited access to an “investment expert” 24/7 — someone who can challenge your portfolio, suggest improvements, analyze a company for you, or even calculate the mortgage you could afford.
That could be a true game-changer.
But we are not naive. Their AI is not perfect today, and it won’t be perfect tomorrow — no AI model is. But they improve fast, and this product has huuuge potential.
…but nothing comes without risk.
