$SUI’S RECENT 50% RIP: LEGIT OR FABRICATED? 🧐
Sui is like a divorced dad singing Savage Garden’s ‘Truly, Madly, Deeply’ at Karaoke night…
It’s having a MOMENT right now!
$SUI is up 48% over the last week, while $BTC, $SOL, and $ETH are up 3-10%.
And when you zoom out – that lead gets even wider!
But is this most recent 48% rip to the upside legit? Or is it all smoke and mirrors?
Here’s what SUI’s fundamentals are telling us…
1/ Stablecoins
When increased use is expected on a blockchain, stablecoins tend to get printed.
(‘Cause most blockchain apps/services require stablecoins.)
This makes stablecoins a solid indicator of future growth.
And so far, stablecoin supply is flashing all of the right signals on Sui, hovering around all-time highs at $883.06M. 👇
2/ DEX volumes
Blockchain health check 101: are folks trading onchain? If yes, this is a sign of health (and vice versa).
And SUI’s DEX volumes hit an all-time high last week, reaching $3.649B.
3/ Total Value Locked (TVL)
TVL = the amount of money locked up in smart contracts.
(Aka: money that is committed to an application, tool, or service within the blockchain ecosystem, that can’t be immediately moved.)
Increased TVL = increased use and trust of a blockchain ecosystem.
Again, Sui is in good standing here at $1.789B
Ok, so that rules! Time to buy $SUI???
Not so fast – blockchain fundamentals reach far beyond these three data points – you gotta look before you leap.
For example: every month between now and 2030, there are tens-of-millions of $SUI tokens scheduled for unlock.
The more fresh supply that hits the market every month – the more overall demand is needed to keep the price even and/or heading up n’ to the right.
