Ledger To Launch Much-Anticipated Crypto Wallet in May

Ledger, a prominent manufacturer of crypto hardware wallets, has disclosed to CNBC that its much-awaited Ledger Stax will be available to the public in May. The iPod’s creator, Tony Fadell, created the sleek, credit card-sized Stax.
Despite facing several challenges, including shipment delays due to issues with the E-ink display and production bottlenecks, Ledger CEO Pascal Gauthier remains confident that the company has overcome these hurdles.
In a recent interview at the Blockworks Digital Asset Summit in London, Gauthier stated, “Stax is coming out in two months. We finally nailed it, and it will be out very soon.”

Ledger CEO stated that Stax faced primary challenges
The primary challenge in developing the Ledger Stax was creating a seamless E-ink display that wraps around the device. Despite the delays caused by this issue, Gauthier emphasized that the company persevered, thanks in part to the encouragement of Tony Fadell himself.
Ledger Stax aims to simplify the user experience, making self-custody and ownership of cryptocurrencies more accessible to a broader audience. “We realized that self-custody and ownership won’t be for everyone,” Gauthier acknowledged, highlighting the importance of creating a user-friendly device.

The Ledger Stax, priced at $279, has been available for preorders since late 2022. The company has reportedly received numerous complaints from users due to the launch delays. However, Gauthier assures that Ledger now has a robust supplier ecosystem in place, ensuring a smooth general launch by May.
