YouTube is facing criticism after allowing a fraudulent Ripple (XRP) giveaway video to remain active for over a month, despite multiple user complaints arguing it violates platform policies.

The video promotes a fake Ripple doubler scam, falsely claiming users can double their XRP holdings by sending funds to an associated wallet address. However, when users reported the obvious fraud, YouTube responded that the video did not breach its guidelines.

YouTube refuses to take down the scam XRP video

According to a widely-shared Reddit post, the video from a channel dubbed “Brad G” has garnered over 18,000 views while active for more than 30 days at press time.

YouTube’s refusal to remove the fraudulent promotion conflicts with Google’s proclaimed policies against content and practices that harm users.

When users flagged the fake XRP doubler scheme as an outright scam, YouTube reportedly responded: “We have decided not to remove this ad. We’ve determined that the ad does not violate Google’s policies.”
